A friend of mine had some gold bullion bars. He did not really know what to do with them for eleven long years when he finally decided to sell them to a local investor. But my friend did not sell gold just because he wanted to spend the money on a new car or holiday in Egypt. He decided to start a business in his town. Because the town lacked a pet shop, he bought all the necessary equipment and opened one. Everything went well at the beginning. He had lots of customers who bought dog a cat food, accessories such as muzzles and leashes, little pets such as tortoises, fish, hamsters and budgies. His shop was always well-equipped, nice and clean. However, a couple of months later my friend"s views and lifestyle changed completely. He went on a strict vegan diet. He was against keeping animals in cages and aquariums and he decided to close the shop. He set some of the animals free and gave the rest to some trusted people. He did not want to trade live animals any more. He felt bad about the fact that he had decided to sell gold to open such a business. Well, I really admire him. I am a strong supporter of animal rights, too. It was probably difficult to change everything. But I still don"t know what prompted him to do so.
